Wedding excited, that is. Michael and I are getting married next April and I'm finally really getting into the planning and dreaming and planning and etc. We found a great little garden bungalow for the ceremony and reception while my parents visited in June and I found my dress while my sisters were here in July. And then Annie got married and it was beautiful and lovely and overwhelming to think about organizing something so perfectly! When we got back to Florida, I was a little wedding-ed out. But this weekend has me back in the saddle, browsing and thinking and scheming.
We are on a budget and also have a desire to do as much as we can ourselves, because I think it is nicer that way. And we also have a reception to plan for in my hometown, so that is twice the fun and also twice the money! Anyway, that is just the long way to say that we are making the invitations ourselves and also the favors and probably whatever else we can. And to further that plan, I ordered some cool printing software from MountainCow.com which has started this whole wedding things spiral.
I am very much wanting a modern, not too traditional, wedding. Although, maybe I should clarify. I want a fairly traditional ceremony, I just am not really into the traditional trappings. I want the look to be clean, not cluttered. So many things that you see are a little out of control, but Martha is coming through and I am loving the pink and poppy red palette.
Red envelopes make me especially happy!
There will be more on this topic, I am sure...
